Welcome to our new CTS Snapshot - a weekly celebration update. We are delighted to share with parents and carers alike student triumphs at Corby Technical School. We are proud of every student and every success they have - please feel free to share with us any achievements they might have.

Year 9 - Germany Trip
Our Year 9 students had a great time in Germany. Pictured are some of the students at the Germania monument.
Cable Car Journey

Year 10 Trip - Rutland Water
Our Year 10 students spent the day at Rutland Water. They completed a 16 mile bike ride. It was a beautiful view and a great day.
Stars of the Week
Student:
- Mrs Reynolds and the Senior Leadership team would like to thank all students for their hard work and dedication to their studies during this academic year.
- Well done to all the students who participated in Sports Day this week. It was a great day.
- Mrs Walpole has nominated Andreas 9S and Owen 9T for Solving the Murder in their Maths Quiz.
- Miss Connellan has nominated Maddie 9C and Haydn 9S for their excellent commitment to studies. She has also nominated Luc, Beate and Kristina 10S for their consistent hard work over this academic year.
- Miss Watt has nominated Ellie 7T, Darci 7S and Katie and Adam 8S for outstanding effort, contribution and progress this term in German.
- Mr Cox has nominated Ryan 8C and Ewan 8S for great work on their Science investigation.
- Miss Longhurst has nominated Holly 10T for her hard work and effort in History over the course of the academic year.
- Mr Harley has nominated Aston 7S and Emma 7T for their team work and resilience in STEM. Mr Harley has also nominated Cory, Summer, Lacy and Lily, 7C, for building the tallest free standing tower out of cardboard and paper in the STEM challenge.
- Mr Bidwell has nominated his Year 9 Geographers for their excellent results in the decision making exercise and improving their justification skills.
Staff:
- Well done to all staff in our PE department for arranging a fantastic Sports Day. It was lovely to see parents there supporting our students.
- Mr Bidwell has nominated Miss Benson for her excellent Geography lesson on Crime.
- Mrs Reynolds and the Senior Leadership Team would like to thank all staff for their hard work over the course of this year.
Residential Trip
Year 8 - Belgium Trip
Year 8 students spent three days in Belgium. The group are pictured at the Menin Gate.
Year 8 - Commonwealth Cemetery
Students had a tour of the Tyne Cot Cemetary. Among the graves was a 15 year old soldier who was killed in World War 1.
Year 8 - War Memorial
Representatives from Year 8 laid a wreath in memory of those who fell during World War 1.
Reminders
- School closes for the Summer break on Friday 21st July and will reopen Monday 21st August 2017.
- Reports for all Year groups have been given to students today. Please return reply slips by Thursday 24th August.
- Results Day for Year 11 GCSE students is Thursday 24th August 2017.
Sports Day and Year 10 Thorpe Park Trip
CTS Sports Day
We held our Sports Day this week as this was another great success. Students performed amazingly well in field and track events.
CTS Sports Day
Student took part in individual events and team events. Telford were overall winners and are pictured with their trophy.
Thorpe Park
A group of students visited Thorpe Park as part of the Year 10 activities. Students stated they had a great day.
Sports Day Winners
Congratulations to 7T, 8C, 9T and 10T on winning their individual year group Sports Day.
Congratulations to Telford house for winning overall. Well done to all students who took part for their team spirit and perseverance and to the students who captained their teams.
