As you know, last week, communication was sent to you about a rumored campus threat. We are still working in conjunction with Katy ISD police and have conducted numerous interviews, home visits and are continuing to encourage students to share FIRST HAND knowledge of any threat made toward the school, or any individual directly with me or an assistant principal.
While the consistent message last week included a specific student, there was not evidence that there was a specific threat. Many students shared the same "story" via social media, in text messages to each other and in person. I would encourage you to talk to your child about how to share information and what happens when false or "half-truth" messages continue to be shared.
Please know we are still taking all precautions and students can be assured we are listening and are proactively ensuring a safe end to the school year.
