What's Happening This Week...

We are in the final week of third quarter and spring break is quickly approaching (March 11-15).

Outside temperatures are rising. Please ensure all students are continuing to follow the dress code. Please refer to the student Handbook. We will follow the dress-code and any item"that creates an “un-businesslike” appearance, considered offensive or disruptive to the educational environment will not be permitted." Students will be referred to the discipline office to address the dress-code.

On Tuesday, March 5th, we will be honoring our students with a GPA of 3.5 or higher. We will have an awards ceremony during our Advisory Schedule. Congratulations to all the students who will be honored during this ceremony.

Please work with us to emphasize the importance of daily attendance and showing up on time. Being in class with regular participation with class activities helps to promote learning success. Your student's presence is vital to their academic success. Continue to work with your student to get in any outstanding classwork and take care of business to improve their grades.

March 8th, our third quarter grades will be posted. Please make sure to review Parent Vue and discuss your student's progress.

Testing time will be here after spring break. There is required state testing for our students. Please review the district letters below and note the schedule for each testing day.

May 6th-17th- AP Testing

May 22nd-24th- Finals for 9-11th grade- No early Exams!!!

Seniors:

April 2nd- EMCC Field Trip

May 3rd- Scholarship Awards Ceremony

May 14th-16th- Senior Finals

May 16th- Finalize Senior Check out

May 17th- Graduation Practice at 8am in the gym

May 21st- Graduation at State Farm Arena- Seniors arrive at 12pm with the ceremony at 1pm

In order for TUHSD and WHS to keep safety and security a priority, we are enforcing the following:

Good Sportsmanship is an expectation for ALL. Inappropriate behavior or language may result in removal from the event.

No bags/backpacks/over-sized purses will be permitted at our events (may be subject to a search)

No outside food or drink will be permitted in our events (gym, PAC, Fields)

Food/Drink can be consumed in the appropriate designated area
