Winter Guard Season ends early

3/13/2020 - Due to health concerns, the Texas Color Guard Circuit has cancelled all remaining events, meaning the Jaguar Winter Guard season has ended early.

Pre-UIL - Postponed

We are waiting on guidance from UIL and AISD on what will happen regarding Pre-UIL and UIL.

NOTE: Students are required to provide their own transportation TO the PAC. We will provide transportation FROM the PAC back to LBJ. Students who get dropped off will be able to ride buses. Students who drive themselves to the PAC will be allowed to drive from the PAC to LBJ.

Essentially Ellington Regional - cancelled

3/13/2020 - Due to health concerns, the Essentially Ellington regional contest in Houston has been cancelled.

UIL Concert and Sightreading Evaluation - postponed

We are waiting on guidance from UIL and AISD on what will happen regarding Pre-UIL and UIL.

On Monday, March 30th, we will be holding our Concert for the People in the Don T. Haynes theater at 7:00 PM. The purpose of the concert is to perform our UIL pieces for our friends and families, and especially for all the band's to hear each other's program. This is a short concert, with music only, and very little talking between pieces. The concert should be done by around 8:15-8:30 PM. Everyone is required to stay for the entire concert.

The actual UIL C&SR Evaluation will be held on Thursday, April 2nd or Friday, April 3rd. Each band's schedule is below. Parents are allowed to come to the performance and the sightreading.

Quick note that this year, UIL has instituted a new rule that eligibility does not factor into the C&SR performance for students; meaning all students will be allowed to perform regardless of grades, eligibility, etc. This is a new state-wide rule that went into effect for C&SR. Yay!

Spring Jazz Showcase

3/13/2020 - UT Longhorn Jazz Festival has been cancelled

Sunday, April 19th the Jazz Ensemble will present our Spring Jazz Showcase at Parker Jazz Club in downtown Austin, 6:00-7:30 PM. Tickets ($20) will be available soon on the Parker Jazz website. We want to sell-out the venue! Please invite your families and friends to be there for this great night! We'll have guest artists performing with the band: Glenda Davenport on vocals and Andrew Hayward on trombone!! You will be in for a musical treat!!!
