STUCO and NHS Planted 31 Trees for HEB's Trees for Texans Planting
MHS Student Council applied for a partnership last school year with HEB Tree for Texans and they along with NHS planted 31 trees on Friday, March 14th. H-E-B Trees for Texans enriches the places we proudly call home by planting trees that contribute to healthier environments for our schools, communities, and the future.
H-E-B Trees for Texans is committed to plant native trees at schools near new H-E-B stores. Manvel High School is the beneficiary of H-E-B Manvel. 2025 SOLV Energy PowerUp! Renewable Energy Scholarship
My name is Alli Comings, and I am a Senior Community Engagement Specialist at SOLV Energy.
SOLV Energy is a solar contractor and services provider for the utility sector. We build large-scale solar facilities, like the Second Division Solar Farm in Brazoria County, that generate enough energy to power upward of 20,000 homes per year with clean electricity.
At SOLV Energy our mission is to make a positive difference in the communities we work and live in through projects that generate good energy for people and the planet. Beyond the projects we build, we often partner with schools and organizations near our jobsites to invest in STEAM education.
I wanted to pass along a scholarship opportunity to share with Manvel High School High School seniors. SOLV Energy is proud to announce the third annual launch of The PowerUp! Renewable Energy scholarship, awarding six students in the U.S. $1,500 each who demonstrate how they will use their future education to pursue a career related to clean energy.
