Mrs. Olinger's Weekly Update

ABC Bootcamp: We will be over halfway through Bootcamp this week! We will be doing 1 letter/sound each day until all 26 letters have been introduced.This week we will do letters Mm, Nn, Oo, Pp, and Qq. This is a quick introduction of the letters that is meant to be a fun way to kick off learning! When Bootcamp is finished we will start our Saxon Phonics series where we will spend a whole week on each letter. Don't stress if their handwriting isn't perfect right now. It will get better!!

Reading: We will be reading stories about families.

Writing: We will be working on fine motor stations that include play-doh, lacing cards, stringing beads, etc. We also will be drawing pictures of people using Mat Man.

Math: We will be working on learning our numbers 1-10.

Please send in extra masks with your child each day. Accidents happen and items can get lost.

I am going to have play centers in my classroom again this year. Play is such an important part of a child's life. They are going to grow in not only their social and emotional skills, but we will be hitting on kindergarten standards with these stations as well.

I asking for your help! If you have any lightly used games, tools, toys, puppets, etc. that you would like to donate, please send them in with your child. I also wanted to give you an update on our class fundraising progress! Our class has reached $85 dollars per lap on our meter. We think we can make it even further to help our school!

Fun Run - 9/3
