DWS Weekly All Stars
We Are DWS Kids!
DWS staff members can award any student with a DWS ALL STAR when they see students being Dedicated, Welcoming, or Safe. All of the DWS ALL STAR awards are put on display in the front lobby. The following students were featured in the morning announcements last week for being DWS ALL STARS!
Grade K: Milo in Mrs. Prendergast’s class is a DWS ALL STAR because he did a great job at the assembly.
Grade K: Roeuman in Mrs. Prendergast’s class is a DWS ALL STAR because he did a great job at the assembly.
Grade 1: Jake in Mrs. Bertulli’s class is a DWS ALL STAR because he used his strategies.
Grade 1: Avery in Mrs. Redman’s class is a DWS ALL STAR because she was a Number Corner expert.
Grade 2: Frankie in Ms. Mulligan’s class is a DWS ALL STAR because she worked hard during Reading groups.
Grade 2: Catie in Mrs. Auriemma’s is a DWS ALL STAR because she was dedicated to completing her work quietly and quickly.
Grade 3: Cody in Mrs. Hines’ class is a DWS ALL STAR because he did a great job for the substitute.
Grade 3: Madison in Mrs. Hanson’s class is a DWS ALL STAR because she followed group norms in her expert group.
Grade 4: Dominic in Mrs. Farrell’s class is a DWS ALL STAR because he was focused during the group discussion on what makes a poem a poem.
Grade 4: Brody in Mrs. Robatzek’s class is a DWS ALL STAR because he listened to and repeated directions for an assignment to the class.
Grade 5: Micah in Mrs. Mann’s class is a DWS ALL STAR because he was on task and not getting distracted by his peers.
Grade 5: Neveah in Mrs. Mann’s class is a DWS ALL STAR because she transitioned well from recess to Knowledge Block.

What's been happening around DWS?
Mrs. Prendergast's Class Makes Applesauce
Mrs. Zizza Visits Grade 1
First graders continued their work in their first reading unit focused on tools and work. This week, they expanded their knowledge and vocabulary with the help of Mrs. Zizza who taught them about the important tools she uses as a lifeguard!
4th Grade Visits Cranberry Bog
Our fourth graders returned to the bog again this year to learn about the life cycle and production of one of our natural resources - the cranberry!
Grade 5 Has Rythm
Grade five students in Ms. Matheson's music class have been busy learning about form and rhythm during music class. The rhythm sticks were a huge hit!

Next PTO Meeting: Monday 11/4/24 in the DWS library at 7:00 p.m. The meeting will be held by our new 2024-2025 PTO board. Meetings will continue to be on the first Monday of every month.

The 8th Annual Marshfield Elementary School XC Invitational, sponsored by the Marshfield Boys & Girls Club, Marshfield Road Runners Youth Track, Furnace Brook XC/Track & Field, and Marshfield District-wide PTO will take place Wednesday 10/23/2024 at the Marshfield Boys and Girls Club (37 Proprietor's Drive, Marshfield) with check-in beginning at 3:00 PM.
