PRINCIPAL'S UPDATE
Dear Eagle Crest Families,
As we approach the end of another memorable year, it's a time for celebration and reflection on the traditions that bind us together. Today marked the culmination of our school-wide field day, an event meticulously planned and executed by our fifth-grade students. This annual tradition not only fosters a sense of camaraderie but also allows our students to showcase their burgeoning leadership skills while giving back to our cherished community.
Tomorrow, we eagerly anticipate our final student-led assemblies of the academic year. Spearheaded by our dedicated communications team, made up of student leaders under the guidance of Katy Schwirtz, these assemblies serve as shining examples of leadership in action.
In addition to our internal celebrations, we are honored to host the graduating class of Silver Creek High School as they proudly wear their graduation regalia and march through our halls Friday. Their achievements symbolize the culmination of years of dedication and hard work, and we are privileged to stand alongside them as they embark on the next chapter of their academic journey. Their success serves as an inspiration to our students and helps our youngest learners begin to envision their academic futures.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
Warmly,
Amanda

DEAN OF STUDENT'S UPDATE
Hello Eagle Crest Families!
As we approach the final day of another amazing school year, we're excited to share some important details about our 2nd annual Eagle Crest Music Festival. The last day of school is right around the corner, and our students have been eagerly preparing for their performances. We can't wait for you to see them showcase their incredible talent!
Here's a quick rundown of what to expect:
The festival will begin at 11:00 am, with our Kindergarten students and families gathering at the risers for the first performance.
First Grade classrooms will drop their things at their picnic spot, but will then line up for their concert at 11:10 am.
All other classes will meet their families at their grade level spot. If you will be taking your child home with you after the picnic, we ask that you sign them out when you arrive. Each teacher will have a sign-out form to complete that process.
Following that, each grade level will take the stage:
2nd Grade: 11:20 am
3rd Grade: 11:30 am
4th Grade: 11:40 am
*5th Grade will be performing at their Continuation Ceremony in the Gym at 10:00 am.
As this is typically our busiest day of the year, we want to ensure everyone can join in the fun without any hiccups. Please keep in mind that our parking lot fills up quickly, so if you're driving, consider arriving a bit early. However, walking or biking to the All School Picnic and Music Festival might just be the perfect way to kick off your summer break!
The Mwebaza Foundation will be hosting a Kona Ice fundraiser during the event. Every purchase will contribute to providing much-needed art materials for our friends at Mwebaza Annex in Uganda.
And a friendly reminder: our fifth-grade students will be presenting their program during their continuation ceremony at 10:00 am in the gym. It's sure to be a momentous occasion for them, and we'd love to see you there to show your support.
We hope you're as excited as we are for this day of celebration and community bonding. Your presence makes all the difference, and we can't wait to share this special moment with you and your family.

HELP US RETURN ALL THE LIBRARY BOOKS!
We currently have over 150 books still checked out to students. That is a lot of books that need to be turned in by Monday, May 20th. Notices have been sent home. If you have received a notice, please help your students find their library books and bring them back to school. Books have been found under beds, in cars, behind sofas and sometimes even mixed in with their own books! If your student is working on a project for school and needs the book a bit longer, they may keep their books until the project is turned in.
If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Beckett at beckett_joan@svvsd.org or at (303) 485-6073 ext. 22313.
