Memorial Day Observance
Just a quick friendly reminder about Memorial Day coming up. As many of you know, Memorial Day is an important American holiday observed on the last Monday of May. It's a special time set aside to honor the brave men and women who sacrificed their lives while serving in the U.S. military.
In observance of this significant day, there will be NO SCHOOL on Monday, May 27th. So, mark your calendars and enjoy your day off! Whether you're spending time with family, having a barbecue, or just relaxing, let's also take a moment to remember and appreciate those who have gone before us. They made the ultimate sacrifice, and their courage and dedication deserve our deepest respect.
Have a great long weekend, everyone!
Mentor Field Experience Capstone Symposium at EHS
On Wednesday, our Mentor Field students from both EHS and AVHS had their moment in the spotlight as they showcased the work they accomplished during Trimester 3 with their mentors. The Mentor Program is truly something special, letting students step out of the traditional classroom setting and dive headfirst into the professional world. This hands-on experience mirrors a college model, giving students a taste of real-world career exposure while still in high school.
Often these internships are a pathway to future careers. Students leave school grounds and work alongside seasoned professionals in their chosen fields. It's a unique blend of guidance and independence as each student carefully selects and designs a project with the support of both their mentor and instructor. Whether it's engineering, healthcare, arts, or technology, these projects are as diverse as the students' interests.
Chatting with the students about their experiences was a blast! They shared stories of what they learned, the challenges they faced, and the triumphs they achieved. It was clear that this program not only expanded their knowledge but also sparked excitement and passion for their future careers. The Mentor Program continues to be a fantastic opportunity for students to grow, learn, and prepare for what's next in their professional journeys.
Pick up Your Yearbook!
Yearbooks were handed out today, Friday, May 24th. If your student did not pick up their yearbook today they can pick it up on Tuesday, May 28th at the Ticket Booth by the South Entry and the Auditorium entrance during all lunches.
Physics Fun at Valleyfair
Valleyfair
Last Wednesday around 195 students from our Physics and AP Physics classes had a super fun and educational trip to Valleyfair. This wasn't just any field trip—it was a chance for students to see physics in action! They used what they've learned in class to break down the science behind the rides and attractions at the amusement park.
Most of the students that went were seniors, but we had a few juniors tagging along for the ride (pun intended!). It was a great mix of minds, all coming together for a hands-on lab experience. It was an awesome day!
Art Show in EHS Library
Eagan High School is holding an art show in the library. We are showcasing what our incredibly talented students have been working on all year. From paintings to sculptures, digital art to photography, there’s a little something for everyone to enjoy. Encourage your student to wander through and take in the diverse range of artwork and get inspired by the creative artists at EHS.

Planning for the End of Spring Trimester
Wednesday, June 5th is our last student day!
All grades 9, 10 and 11 students will have Final Assessments in classes on June 4 and 5. Seniors in good standing are not required to take Finals. Seniors last day is Friday , May 31st.
Teachers will NOT be giving Finals early to grades 9, 10 and 11. If a student is absent on June 4 or 5 the teacher should be informed and will leave the Final Assessment with our Registrar in Counseling. The student would be able to come in during the summer to make up that assessment. Once the teacher returns to grade the work a final grade in the class will be determined.
