Thank you to all our families for attending our new Cardinal Kickoff Open House. If you weren't able to attend the event, we'd still like you to have access to all the information shared by our teachers. There is a new KYAP flag football fundamental skills program for all students attending KES in grades 3rd-6th grade. It will be ran under the direction of Lane Walker, it will be both fundamental and fun. Kids will be divided up into teams and play games. The cost is $35 and each player will get a custom jersey to keep.

Registration notes were sent home last week, if you need one please ask the office. Registration and money can be turned into the office as well. Please place registration form and money in a sealed envelope. The new league kicks off Sunday, Sept. 15th so please get your notes turned in as soon as possible.

We are always looking for feedback from our families so that we can make continuous improvements to the events and systems in place at KES. If you have a few minutes, please complete this KES Fall Family Survey so that we can make the changes necessary to improve upon our models for future years.

This year Kingston Elementary is modifying the school-wide C.A.R.D.S system! When caught demonstrating one of the school expectations, students will still earn paper C.A.R.D.S tickets and they will continue to be collected in their homeroom classes. These tickets will be collected by the office for weekly grade-level drawings presented on the Monday morning announcements. The randomly drawn winners will have the opportunity to win cool prizes (ex. pizza, bowling, or ice cream coupons to local businesses) and in- school privileges (ex. Lunch V.I.P or book vending machine tokens). The weekly winners will also be acknowledged at the monthly character assembly. Monthly Character Assemblies will still be featuring Student of the Month, Kid for Character, Attendance awards, and Safety Assistant.

We are very excited to be adding an HRA (Health Resource Advocate) to our KES team this year! Having a Registered Nurse in our building full time will benefit our KES Staff and students in many ways. Please view this Meet the School Nurse link to learn more about Mrs. Hayward!
