Adult Education
Welcome to the Newport School Districtβs Adult Education Newsletter. This program offers a variety of classes, courses and workshops for continuing learners to pursue creativity, credentials and a sense of community with other adult learners.
These classes, courses and workshops are offered for free, or at a reduced rate, to members of the Newport and Jackson County communities in an effort to increase the opportunities for learning, and promote a sense of community.
Each class features a signup link to a small enrollment form. Some will be limited in size, so all are first come first served. Any charges are due on the evening of the class. Classes will be offered on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday nights from 6:00 to 7:30 or 6:00-9:00. The Adult Education classes are taught in the Newport High School Freshman Academy located next to the Newport School District Administration Offices on the high school campus. Parking is available in the lot immediately in front of the cafeteria.
Fall Door Hanger Workshop
This class will be taught by Art & Soul owner, Ginger Willis. She will help you create the perfect fall door hanger to adorn your homes door and welcome guests. She will supply everything that you will require to create this beautiful door hanger, for the cost of $25 for adults, and $20 for children. Hurry, the available slots will fill up fast, and you don't want to miss creating this beautiful focal point for your fall decorations.
