Military Appreciation Month
Students Gianna Frank and Claire Michal Honored at May 6th School Board Meeting
At the School Board Meeting on Monday, May 6th, Superintendent Dr. Zac Robbins read a Proclamation of Academic Excellence, declaring Marysville Getchell's Claire Michal and Marysville Pilchuck's Gianna Frank "exemplary students." The proclamation read, "[The students] have consistently demonstrated exceptional academic performance, achieving a 4.0 GPA and consistently ranking at the top of their class. They each commit themselves academically by taking Advanced Placement courses and classes that are of interest and further their future goals." The proclamation continued, "Claire and Gianna are gifted scholars and dedicated classmates who inspire others with their work ethic. They actively participate in class discussions and exemplify a genuine love of learning and school through their determination, perseverance, and involvement in student leadership and athletic opportunities."

Marysville Getchell Fastpitch Softball Wins 3rd Annual Berry Bash 13-2
The 3rd annual Berry Bash game between Marysville Getchell and Marysville Pilchuck High Schools girls' fastpitch softball was held at Cedar Field on Wednesday, May 8th.
Emme Witter from Marysville Getchell threw eight strikeouts over four innings, allowing four hits and two walks, leading to the Chargers' 13-2 victory over the Tomahawks. Witter, a junior, also hit a three-run home run and went 1-for-3 at the plate. Katelyn Maneval, a senior, was 2-for-4 with two RBIs for the Chargers.

Marysville Pilchuck Hosts Track and Field City Championships
Last Friday's track and field City Championships meet was a success with Grace Academy, MPHS, and MGHS competing. Bleachers, the Cedarcrest golf course restaurant, donated 500 hotdogs, Grace Academy brought cookies, and MP got the donations to make it happen. Thank you to the community and Steve and Kris Jensen for their support.
