Students entering kindergarten need to have 5 doses of Tdap, 4 doses of polio, 2 doses of MMR, 2 does of Varicella, 3 doses Hepatitis B, and 2 doses of Hepatitis A.

Students entering seventh grade need to have 1 dose of Tdap and 1 dose of Meningococcal (MCV4), in addition to immunizations listed above for kindergarten.

The 2024 Gateway College Prep graduating class included 10 students who were a part of the original Gateway kindergarten class!

Gateway College Preparatory School, KindergartenTeacher

Andrea is completing her 10th year with Orenda as a kindergarten teacher at Gateway College Prep. One of her peers shared, “Mrs. Mulvogue is an amazing team member and mentor! She can be counted on with any task. She is a great reminder of why we get into this profession. Not only is she willing to share her experiences, but is always open to hear new ideas.” During instruction, Mrs. Mulvogue’s students are engaged in student-centered activities that meet the challenging kindergarten standards. It is amazing to walk into her classroom and see all 21 students actively learning with little direction from the teacher. Her students rise to the high expectations she has set for her classroom.

In addition to teaching, Andrea loves helping wherever needed. She has served as the K-1 Canvas Lead, Kindergarten Team Lead, and is one our Teacher Leaders this year through the TEA grant where she coaches and supports teachers on her team.

Kingsland School, K-12 Special Education Teacher

Richard has been with Orenda since 2021 as a special education teacher at Kingsland School. This year, he served as the ARD facilitator in addition to the only K-12 special education teacher at the campus. One staff member shared, “Richard exemplifies care and support for students. He truly ensures that they belong, develop mastery and independence in their academic and behavioral skills, and generously devotes his time and efforts as our Special Education teacher.” He actively and regularly meets with parents, teachers, and students to collaborate in the development of student plans. He is dedicated to EACH student succeeding.

In addition to his teaching duties, Mr. Pawlowski was the chess team coach and took his students to state and has worked to develop individual transition plans for all 8th graders at Kingsland School. Richard has to work diligently with every staff on campus since his students range across all grade levels. He is well received by all of his co-workers, who frequently seek his advice and feedback on how to better meet the needs of their shared students.
