January 31 - Advising Night
We are so excited to see our 8th-12th grade families Wednesday, January 31, from 4:30-7:00 PM at MHS. All families are encouraged to attend if able. This is our largest event of the year, we hope to see you there!

The MHS creative arts anthology, The Driftwood, has been named a Superior magazine in the 2023 NCTE Recognizing Excellence in Art and Literary Magazines (REALM) contest!

Food Pantry Fundraiser
Michael Brown (CEPS 1st grade teacher), Paul Gregg (MHS choir director) and Brooke Hauser (CEPS Assoc. Principal) are acting in this sweet, funny, lovely play that will benefit our local food pantry! This would make a fantastic date night, girls night out, group event, or any of the above. Tickets are $20 and the seating is general admission, so folks who'd like to sit together can do so regardless of when you buy your tickets. All questions or concerns regarding attendance/absences should be directed to Carli Cherek at cherekc@mcfsd.org or 608-838-3166 x4762.
There are three ways to report your student's absence, appointment, leaving early/arriving late:
- Enter your request directly into IC. (Instructions) -
- If you are concerned that the office staff is not receiving your IC absence request, please make sure you allow notifications for the Infinite Campus app on your phone. Once the IC request is processed you will get a notification.
- Call the attendance line directly at 608-838-4657 and leave a message. These are sent directly to our email, so we see them in real time.

Spartan Nation Update
Dance: CONGRATULATIONS ON ADVANCING TO THE WACPC STATE COMPETITION IN POM AND JAZZ. CONGRATULATION TO SARAI KROGMAN FOR ADVANCING TO STATE IN SOLO COMPETITION. The team took 3rd place in pom and jazz at the regional competition at Watertown on Saturday and now will advance to the WACPC state competition in La Crosse next Saturday.
Girls Basketball: Had a busy week with wins over Sauk Prairie and Lakeside Lutheran and a tough non conference loss to Oregon.
Boys Basketball: Had a busy week with an exciting overtime win over Edgewood and a non conference win over Evansville, but a non conference loss to Monroe.
Boys Hockey: Competed well but had 2 tough loses to Monroe and Edgewood this week.
Girls Hockey: Competed well but had 2 tough loses to Metro Lynx and Beaver Dam
Boys Swimming: Had a nice conference win over Edgewood to stay at the top of the Badger Small Conference, and TOOK FIRST PLACE at the Shorewood invite on Saturday. Our 3 relays broke the meet records and we had individual records set as well by Blake and Cale TeBeest. The team is preparing for the Badger Small conference meet next Saturday in Sauk Prairie.
Wrestling: Had a tough dual loss to Watertown, but competed well in the Deerfield Invite on Saturday with a top 5 finish. Luke Rux took 1st place in his weight class. The team is preparing for the Badger Conference meet next Saturday in Waunakee.
