Winter Sled Riding!
Sled Riding gear should be added to school lockers along with coats, hats, snow pants, boots, and gloves. We will plan to take the children sled riding at recess if we have the right amount of snowfall. An extra change of clothing (including socks) kept in your child's locker will be a warm opportunity to change into after a cold snowy recess. If you need any of these cold weather related items, please contact the school office at 330-825-5133.
Sled Riding Volunteers
If you are interested in helping as a sled riding volunteer please contact the school office at 330-825-5133. We would need the volunteers during the window of time from 11:00-1:30 PM. Volunteers will also need to have a current background check on file with the District. We will call the volunteers ahead of the day that we plan to go sledding based on the upcoming weather forecast. We will also provide all of the students with sleds.
Volunteer Background Checks
If you are scheduled to be a volunteer, mystery reader, or class party helper and have not completed the background check please see the following information. The link provided below will allow you to set up an appointment with Kelly Osborne to complete the background check. This will be the last opportunity to complete a background check for the 2024-2025 school year. Please do not hestiate to complete this step to be an active volunteer at our building.

School Attendance- preparing to return in 2025.
Showing up to school every day is critical for children’s well-being, engagement, and learning. One of our building goals this school year is to improve our attendance rate with the Little Panthers. The daily attendance rate for the first part of the school year has been really good despite all the colds and illness that we experienced. I would like to thank all of our parents for their hard work and share a few reminders as we start back to school in 2025. Make sure to send children to school if they are:
Generally healthy and well.
Participating in usual day-to-day activities.
Children can even go to school if they have a mild cold, which may include a runny nose and/or cough, and haven’t had a fever overnight. Please also note that they must be fever free within the last 24 hours without being given any fever-reducing medicine during that time or before school.
