The Scientific Revolution was the most influential period of history and contributed to the foundation to modern society.
what was the change?
This was the time when scientists began to use the scientific method to make discoveries that involved stuff about math, physics, astronomy, biology, and chemistry.
who were the people associated with the change?
Galileo Galilei
Galileo played a major role in the scientific revolution. He made observations about the moon and solar system. Galileo was forced to recant his ideas. He could not leave his house.
Isaac Newton
Isaac was influenced by NIcolas Fatio de Duillier, John Keill, and Voltaire. He built the first practical telescope. He discovered and observed the theory of gravity. He studied the physics of motion light and heat.
Copernicus
He created the heliocentric theory. He proposed that the earth and other planets revolve around the sun not the earth.
how did the change impact the society at the time?
This created a big dispute between the religious leaders and scientist.
how is that change evidence in today's modern society?
The scientist helped us with our work and build up our society.
