Level Up with PRIDE - Week #6🎮
Greetings, STEAM Family!
We just completed another awesome week, and we would like to extend a huge "SHOUT OUT" to all of our parents & guardians who were able to attend our "Welcome Back Night"! It was certainly a successful event. For those parents who were unable to attend, we will send the remaining 1st Nine Weeks Progress reports home with students tomorrow. Please be sure to ask your scholar for his/her report upon arrival home, and remember to sign and return it to your child's homeroom teacher. Likewise, we are so excited about our upcoming events, beginning with our "Growing Readers with Grandparents" Literacy Celebration on tomorrow (Monday, 9/11) from 9:00 am - 10:30 am. Grandparents are invited to come and read alongside their grand-babies, as well as stop and shop in our Scholastic Book Fair! Don't forget to also save the date for our Fall Picture Day on Wednesday, September 20th. This year, we will be using a new vendor for fall and spring pictures, BPI Photography. Feel free to check our their website featured below, as well as your child's flyer for additional information regarding picture packages.

Daily Reminders for SDE:
ATTENDANCE MATTERS - Parents, please make sure your child maintains regular attendance and arrives to school in a timely manner. Students are tardy at 8:15 am. Five (5) tardies and/or early dismissals count as one (1) unexcused absence. Student attendance will be a part of criteria used to determine eligibility for school-wide celebrations. Remember, every minute really counts!
- Weekly grade level newsletters will be sent home each Monday, so please check your child's folder and/or book bag.
- The dress code will be enforced DAILY at SDE! Any "Dress Down" days will be communicated in advance. Repeated dress code violations will result in students becoming ineligible to participate in school-wide and/or classroom PRIDE celebrations and events! Please make sure your child adheres to the required dress code. Remember, the P in PRIDE stands for "Personal Responsibility".
