Our second semester is off to a great start! It's hard to believe January is already over. Please review the information below and plan accordingly.

We will begin our school-wide Spring Fundraiser next week. All students and staff members are asked to sell Double Good Popcorn. The fundraiser will begin on Wednesday, February 5th and close on Sunday, February 9th. The school will receive 50% of all sales. Each homeroom teacher at WSTA has created a "store" and has a link to share with their homeroom students. Students will sell for their homeroom store. The fundraiser is completely online and items purchased will be shipped directly to those who purchase. To learn more about Double Good Popcorn, please click on the link below.

Proceeds from the fundraiser will help to support special activities for students and staff. The homeroom with the most sales will be treated to a celebratory lunch. Please reach out to your child's homeroom teacher for the link and help us reach our fundraising goal.

Progress reports were originally scheduled to go home today (Friday, January 31st). Because of our inclement weather which caused school to be closed for students three days last week, this date has been changed to Friday, February 7th.

The lottery application is now open for Wayne School of Technical Arts.

WSTA will hold two information sessions for current 5th grade students and their families. The first will be held February 4th in the Eastern Wayne Elementary cafeteria at 6 PM. The other will be held at Fremont Elementary on Feb. 20th at 6 PM. Opened in the Fall 2022, WSTA offers a STEM-themed education centered around an advanced curriculum. In addition to core curriculum classes, students will have the opportunity to earn the AP Capstone Diploma Endorsement and/or the opportunity to earn industry credentials in a technical arts field of study. The school is located on Seymour Johnson Air Force Base and is open to both military connected and non-military connected students in grades 6-12.

The deadline to apply to be included in a lottery for a school is 5 PM on Friday, February 28. A link to the lottery application can be found on the school's website.

Yearbooks for the 2024-2025 school year are on sale now. Yearbooks may be purchased online or at the school. The early bird price of $30 ends on Friday, February 14th. Then the price will be $40. Order forms are in the office if you would like to order through the school. If ordering through the school, you may pay by cash, check, or money order. Checks and money orders should be made payable to Strawbridge. The last day to purchase yearbooks is Tuesday, April 15th.

Graduation is tentatively scheduled for Monday, June 9th at 6 pm in the Moffatt Auditorium on the campus of Wayne Community College. In order to participate in graduation, every senior will need to purchase a Cap and Gown. Additionally, all seniors will need to pay a Senior Fee. The senior fee helps to covers the cost of diplomas, diploma cover, and the cost of the venue. The senior fee of $30 is due on Tuesday, April 15, 2025. Payments will be accepted by cash or check. Checks should be made payable to WSTA.

Parents with DBIDS Cards, please remember the card allows you base access during specific times that coincide with arrival and dismissal times (9:45 - 10:15 am AND 4:15 - 4:45 pm). Outside of those time frames, individuals with DBIDS cards will need to call the school, and the school will in turn let Base Security Forces know that there is a specific reason you need access to the base outside of the established times (doctor's appointment, illness, etc.). You will need to stop at the Visitor's Center when you arrive on the base outside of the scheduled times.
