As this quarter comes to a close, I want to take a moment to thank you for all your support and help through the first part of the year. Developing strong citizens with critical thinking skills, truly is a joint effort between home and school. We appreciate you contacting us, trusting us, and partnering with us!

We hope you spend the next 2 weeks reconnecting as a family and enjoying the holidays! We will see everyone back at school on January 6th!

A medida que este trimestre llega a su fin, quiero tomarme un momento para agradecerles por todo su apoyo y ayudar durante la primera parte del año. Desarrollar ciudadanos fuertes con habilidades de pensamiento crítico es realmente un esfuerzo conjunto entre el hogar y la escuela. ¡Apreciamos que se comunique con nosotros, confíe en nosotros y se asocie con nosotros!

For elementary and incoming kindergarten students currently living in Perry Township, Intra-

District Transfer applications will be accepted January 6-February 7, 2025. Applications will only

be accepted after this period from families that are new to Perry Township. Acceptance letters

will be mailed to households after March 14, 2025. If a parent chooses not to accept the Intra-

district transfer for the 2025-2026 school year, they must notify the office of Assistant

Superintendent for Foundational Learning at The Perry Township Education Center no later than

April 11, 2025. Each Kindergarten Academy will be able to accept up to 20 transfer students.

Intra-District Transfers are good for as long as you are in the school. A new form will need to

be submitted when going into the 6 th grade, or from kindergarten into 1 st grade. Current

transfer students do not need to complete a new form. Requests must be turned into the

requested school by February 7, 2025.

Congratulations to this week's Artist of the Week, Zoey! She used paint, chalk and collage items to create this lovely Holiday tree.

Congratulations to Mrs. Fleming's and Mrs. Piersall's class for becoming our next two Ultimate Cow classrooms! They have earned the COW award from all six special teachers.

On Monday night, we had a great night at the Giving Project at SES. A huge thanks to our EL team for their hard work and organization. We would like to, also, thank all of our volunteers who helped make this event possible. We had over 150 families attend, who all left happy with smiles.

Fourth graders in EL made gingerbread man cookies on Thursday.

Students had a great time during their winter celebrations on Thursday. Thank you to Ms. Lacefield for planning these fun events, and to everyone who helped.

Congratulations to Thawng Pi, Samuel and Ruth for completing all three Typing Agent Mountains.
