Congratulations to this group of students who received recognition after not only receiving a Pronghorn Pride Ticket, but for also being selected to represent their peers. These students were caught either modeling a school-wide expectation or showing ownership for their learning. Way to be #PronghornStrong!

As you begin spring cleaning, if there are pants you would like to donate, we would gladly accept those items.

Our Family Picnic is on Thursday, June 1, from 11:45 am-1:00 pm. We are so excited to have our parents here to celebrate all the hard work our students have put in and all they have accomplished this year! You may bring your lunch, purchase lunch at one of the many food trucks we have reserved, or preorder your student a sack lunch from our cafeteria.

You are welcome to come to the school no earlier than 11:00 am (We have a student/staff event before this time on the field.) to secure your space on the field, set up shade tents, and preorder lunch at one of the food trucks joining us this year. Please note that the field space is the only area available for families to gather.

*Your child's teacher will send you a link to order from the school kitchen if you need to utilize this service.

Here is the menu for the sack lunch option:

• Ham and Cheese Sandwich
• Carrots
• Apple
• Cookie
• Milk

Sack lunches are $2.80 for students.

Students will exit the school building to the field area at 11:45. They can find their families and enjoy time together. At 12:45, we will ask that you begin packing up and out what you brought in. By 1:00, all students not being checked out of school will be asked to line up at the regular location to enter the building. We will also request that families also be ready to vacate the field and head out to enjoy the start of summer break.

It is a FULL day of school on the last day. If you choose to check your student out to take home after the picnic, you will do so at the tables provided. We will work to have several table locations on the blacktop area near the back playground closest to the field. You may check them out at any time at those tables while the picnic is happening, beginning at 11:00, so you do not have to wait in a long line at the end of the event. Also, please be sure to have an ID should there be questions from our staff if we are unfamiliar with you.

Again, please note that all staff remains at school until all students are accounted for, so please check your child out before leaving with them. We appreciate having to make extra phone calls or create unnecessary worry for any staff or families.

In order to plan for next year and prepare for class placement, please be sure to update your PowerSchool account. This will also allow you access to see your child's tentative class placement on August 2. *Please remember that these placements may change based on new enrollment and the need to balance classes.

If you are NOT returning to Pleasant View or the West Ada School District, for the 2023 – 2024 school

year, please let the office know. This allows time to prepare your student’s records for transfer.

iReady Summer Splash is a 4-week math program for currently enrolled students in West Ada School District. Summer Splash allows students to learn at home as they supplement their school year instruction and further refine their foundational skills, all while avoiding the "summer slide". It will run from June 1st to July 1st. Packets will be coming home with every student with directions on how to participate.

If you completed the earlier survey for your child to have a device, those will be sent home on May 30. Please note, a school device is not necessary to participate.
