I hope that you had a great weekend! There is no school this upcoming Friday nor Monday. Enjoy your upcoming President's Day Holiday and four day weekend! Here is the student bulletin for next week. Students can order free lunch from the Hart District by placing their order before 8:00am here.

• February 21, Friday- ASB Talent Show, all families are invited, all students invited to participate. See details for auditions. Located in the outdoor ampitheater.

On behalf of the students and staff at Academy of the Canyons, we want to thank you for the generous pizza party you hosted for all of us. It was such a thoughtful and kind gesture, and it truly made us feel loved and appreciated as we started the new term.

We’re also so happy you could stop by to visit the Passion Projects presentations and see Project-Based Learning in action. Your ongoing support and involvement mean so much to us, and we are incredibly grateful for everything you do to make our school community so special.

Our after-school arts program is amazing! Students are exploring their creativity and learning so many new skills in Drawing & Painting, Graphic Design, Photography, and Video Arts & Storytelling. We’re excited to kick off Ceramics, Theater Arts Improv, and Singer/Songwriting on 2/21—there’s something for everyone! Check out these awesome pictures showcasing the incredible talent and imagination in action. 🎨🎥🎶 There is stil room in Songwriting and Theater Arts Improv and Drawing and Painting. Ceramics and Graphic Design are completely full at this time and there are no more sign ups for these classes. We will offer these classes again in the Fall. Sign up at this link.

Located on the campus of College of the Canyons, AOC is proud to be the middle college high school in the William S. Hart Union High School District serving students 9th-12th grades in the Santa Clarita Valley. Students have the opportunity to earn between 24 and 44 transferable college units, prior to receiving their high school diplomas. Upon graduation, the majority of Academy students pursue their post high school education by continuing at COC and completing their college transfer requirements in only one year after high school. Other AOC students go directly into a four-year university, bringing their community college units with them and placing themselves well into their freshman and sophomore years at the college level. While attending AOC as a high school student, community college tuition is waived for established California residents.
