Wilbanks Middle School Newsletter
From the Principal's Desk
Dear Parents and Guardians,
I hope this message finds you well! I wanted to take a moment to reflect on the fantastic week we had at Wilbanks Middle School as we celebrated Red Ribbon Week. Throughout the week, our students participated in dress-up theme days to promote important messages about staying drug-free, taking a stand against bullying, and raising awareness for cancer. It was heartwarming to see our school community come together in support of these vital causes.
The highlight of our week was the annual PowderPuff game, which saw over 100 enthusiastic students participate! A big shout-out to our Peer Leaders, who did an incredible job organizing the event, complete with a VIP Tailgate, face painting, and various games. The competitive spirit amongst our Houses was palpable as they battled on the field, with Perseverance claiming the PowderPuff Championship in a thrilling match against Loyalty. Valor secured 3rd place, while Integrity finished 4th.
Additionally, I’m proud to announce that we raised funds to support Relay for Life through our House Challenge, with Team Integrity leading the way by raising over $238 for this important cause. The spirit and participation demonstrated by our students were nothing short of inspiring, and I couldn’t be prouder of our school community.
As we move into the busy holiday season, we will focus on maintaining this momentum. In just a few weeks, we will host our Holiday Incentive event, which is shaping up to be the biggest celebration of the year! Students can look forward to activities including snow, roasting marshmallows by the fire, decorating Christmas cookies, making cards, playing games, singing karaoke, and so much more! To earn points for this special event, we encourage students to attend school regularly, work hard, and exhibit positive behavior.
At Wilbanks Middle School, we strive to create an environment where every student wants to be, and it is your support that helps make this possible. Thank you for your ongoing involvement in our school community.
Wishing you all a wonderful month ahead!
Warm regards,
Chris Chitwood
