Back-to-school
August 26, 2024
A note from the principal
Hello Ramsey Families,
Our teachers are officially back today preparing to welcome you all to open house on Wednesday, August 28th! Our class lists will also go live today. If you have your ParentVue App, you should be able to see the homeroom teacher under student information. If you do not yet have the ParentVue app, you can call 763-506-4357 to get your login and download it from your App store. This is also how you will see report cards, report absences, and sign up for activities now that the district has gone paperless for these services.
We all look forward to seeing you on Wednesday evening!
Denise Schnabel, Principal
Open house
Parking is limited on site. There is street parking within the neighborhood across the street and our awesome Ramsey PD will be providing traffic and crossing support.
Back-to-school information
Class Placements
Parent Vue will have this information populated today. At this time, class placements are final. Many staff hours have been put into creating these placements based on feedback from multiple viewpoints. All of our staff are currently preparing for your children to be part of their learning environment and are excited to welcome them to a new year.
Bag tags
Every student will receive a bag tag at open house. These are color coded by grade level. It is VERY important that these are filled out and connected to the student's back pack for the first day of school. We have so many helpful staff to support all our students the first weeks of school to find their way, these tags are key to this support! Thank you in advance for completing this step!
School supply lists
Each grade level has their own school supply lists. Many of the local stores often have these lists as well. At open house, students may bring in their supplies so they can be set for the first day. Classroom teachers may also have a wish list in the classroom of shared items to support their work. Please consider supporting your child's classroom with those needs.
Student drop off and pick up
Many of our students arrive and go home by car through our pick up and drop off system. No one loves to wait in a line, however, when everyone follows the procedures we are able to accept and dismiss 950 students in under 15 minutes start to finish.
To enhance efficiency and organization, we have assigned pickup and drop-off zones based on last names. Please see the map above for more details.
Last Names A-R: North Lot
Last Names S-Z: South Lot
Car Rider Pick-Up Procedure: For caregivers picking up students as car riders, we kindly request your cooperation in following these steps:
Pull Forward: Upon entering the designated area, please pull your vehicle up as far as possible in the line to allow for efficient loading.
Stay in Vehicle: To ensure the safety of all students, families, and staff, we kindly ask that you remain in your vehicle during the pickup process.
Our staff members will be present to guide and assist you throughout the process to ensure a seamless transition. Your cooperation and adherence to these procedures are greatly appreciated as we work together to maintain a safe and organized environment during pickup and drop-off times.
Thank you for your partnership, and we look forward to a wonderful school year ahead!
