Electives Selection 2025-26
It’s time for students to put in their option class requests for next year! Mrs. Gray has visited all our current grade 7 and 8 classes to share information with our students about how to select their options for the 2025-26 school year at RHJ.
Please discuss options with your child(ren) and login to Parent Portal by April 16th to select their choices.
Instructions:
- Sign into PowerSchool Parent Portal and click on Course Registrations in the menu on the left.
- Click the little pencil on the top right-hand side to choose the option courses with your student. They will select their top choices (4 for grade 8 and 5 for grade 9).
- Click the second pencil to select 2 alternates.
For details about each course and the fees associated with them, please visit https://www.rudolphhennig.ca/programs/our-junior-high-program.
If you have any questions about course selections, please email glenda.gray@eips.ca.
Navigating the Shift
Family and Community Support Services has some exciting workshops planned for April. See below and click here to register.
Explore Collegiate Pathways
in 2025-26, Elk Island Public Schools (EIPS) will be expanding its Collegiate Pathways programming to provide more opportunities for more students across the Division. Opportunities are available for students entering or returning to Grade 12 in the fall. For students entering grades 10 or 11 next year, the available information will help with course planning throughout senior high.

Watch for Thin Ice
Remember, be aware of thin ice this time of year. Depending on changing temperatures, ice can form and melt to varying degrees on outdoor bodies of water. Try to remind your child about the dangers of thin ice, obey all posted signs, take proper care and remain a safe distance from the ice.
For more information about ice safety, visit the Canadian Red Cross.
Did you know?
The colour of ice may be an indication of its strength. Clear blue ice is the strongest. White opaque is half as strong as blue ice. And, grey ice is unsafe—greyness indicates the presence of water.
Lunchbox
Rudolph Hennig has joined with LunchBox to offer lunches for our students! Parents can order and pay online through the link below, and students pick up the lunches in the Raven's Nest Store in the first half of lunch.
LunchBox also brings some additional items to sell to students.
