Week of April 15
Bell Schedule Week of 4/15/24 1-2-3-4-5-6-7 (L-4)
Dear Panther Families:
Get ready! The Scholastic Book Fair is coming our way (YAY!). Choosing their own books empowers kids and inspires them on their journey to becoming lifelong readers. AND—as always—every purchase at the Fair benefits our school.
Here’s what you need to know about the big event, which will take place from Monday, April 15th through April 19th during school hours
Students may pay with cash or with eWallet—your child’s digital payment account. Before the Fair, set up eWallet for worry-free, cash-free purchases. Anyone can contribute! Share each child’s eWallet so friends and family can add funds and give your kids more books to enjoy.
If you can’t make it to the Fair, then shop at our school’s Book Fair online. All orders ship directly to your home, and shipping is free for book orders over $25. Every online purchase will also benefit our school.
Visit our Book Fair homepage to learn more and get started with eWallet and online shopping:

The countdown to more Bookjoy is on! Catch you at the Fair!
STATE SCIENCE FAIR WINNERS!!
We are so proud of our Panthers! The following students placed at the STATE level Science Fair:
2nd Lily Fletcher PRM (plus invitation to Thermo Fisher Nationals)
3rd Oliver Schwartz PRM
3rd Brendan Burns PRM
4th Milo Westberry PRM
This is by no means a small accomplishment. Each student competes in a project category against the best from all of the other counties in Florida. There were 500 students total - and our Panthers took top awards! GREAT JOB!
Free Sports Physicals for Incoming High School students!
Solar Car Finals!
CCPS Solar Car Finals will be held Wednesday 4/24/24 ay the MLK Administration Center. The following students from Pine Ridge Middle will be competing for the title of District Solar Car Champions: Ava Burford, Emma Alvarado Falcon, Victoria Giraldo, Avery Heinold and our alternate, Sadie Doupe. Let's wish them the best of luck!
Reminder for Parents & Students about Before School Activities
Students that participate in before school clubs and activities must be sure they are not requesting entry to the school before the start time of their activity. PRM office staff members have been instructed to call into the teacher's classroom to confirm they are at school and ready to see students. We have had many reports of students wandering the hallways before the start of school. Start times for activities are listed on the after school forms at the end of this newsletter. Please make sure students are waiting until the appropriate time to ring the bell. Thanks for your support!

Student Drop Off
Parents- please remember the only safe area to drop off your child is in the car rider line. Dropping off students in the circle is not a safe area as many cars and busses are in the area. Thank you for helping keep PRM safe!
Reminder about School Visits
Please schedule an appointment to meet with someone from PRM for your student. You can reach the proper staff by dialing 239-377-5000. Academic concerns would be with Guidance and then with Ms. Coloma. Student issues would be Guidance and then Mr. Badillo. Special Programs would be under the direction of Mr. Spencer. Finally, Mrs. Gordon is available after those steps. Parents will be asked who their appointment is with when they arrive at the school. Thank you!
