Santiago Charter Middle School
Friday Newsletter: September 27, 2024
Hello Santiago Families-
It is hard to believe that we are already going into October! 🎃
Parents- please note that starting Monday (9/30), students will not be allowed to bring any extra lanyards hanging from their backpack or tags that are attached to their backpack. This is causing a major distraction at our school. Please do not allow your student to bring them to school or they will be confiscated by Mr. Lee.
Lastly, there is a new Tik Tok challenge where students are removing zipper ties from unsuspecting student's backpacks. Please remind your student that this, as well as any other Tik Tok challenge, is not allowed and students will be assigned severe consequences. We appreciate your support in these matters!
No Fuss Fundraiser: We have one week left of our No Fuss Fundraiser. Our last day of the fundraiser will be next Friday, October 4th. We are about halfway to our goal for the year, so your support is appreciated! For more information, you can scroll below for the flyer or you can click on the video link to hear more about it from our administrators: No Fuss Fundraiser Introduction Video
Dual Enrollment: Santiago Charter Middle School students can now apply to take Dual Enrollment (College Credit courses) with Santiago Canyon College (SCC) starting in Winter 2025. Our Dual Enrollment course(s) will be built within the school day and taught by an SCC Professor and a Santiago Teacher! We are so excited to offer this ground-breaking opportunity and cannot wait for the moment when Santiago students promote in June with COLLEGE CREDIT! Applications for our Dual Enrollment Cohort will be available September 30th in the Santiago Front Office or Room 116 and are DUE October 25, 2024! Please keep an eye out in future newsletters for Dual Enrollment Parent Information Sessions- these will happen prior to application deadline. Scroll below for our Dual Enrollment flyer.
ELAC and PTSA Meetings: We held our first ELAC and PTSA meetings this week and had great turnouts at both. Thank you to all of the families that attended, we look forward to partnering with all of you and making this a successful school year!
