The first full week of school at Shepherd Elementary was an exciting whirlwind of activity and discovery. Our young BlueJays eagerly dove into their new routines and expectations, guided by their enthusiastic teachers who set the stage for a year of growth and learning. This week was also marked by a special visit from the dental bus, which brought a touch of fun and valuable education to our students about the importance of dental hygiene. With each passing day, the hallways buzzed with the energy of new beginnings, as students and staff alike settled into the rhythms of the school year, ready to soar to new heights together.

If you plan to have your student ride a bus home they must be registered to ride. If you have a bus number in PikMyKid you are all set otherwise contact the transportation department at 989-828-4539.

To create a safe and consistent dismissal for your student, changes to PikMyKid must be made prior to 2:15 pm. Teachers CAN NOT make changes to PikMyKid, you must do so yourself before 2:15 pm or you must call the office before 2:15 pm. Changes will not be made after 2:15pm.

Parents/Guardians of independent walkers please do not park in the parking lot of St. Vincent's Church on Maple Street. There is a parking lot on the corner of Wright Ave. and 5th St. that is available for parking.

If using car line pick up, please do not cut the line on 4th street. Access the end of the line via 3rd street.

Also, this year, we are asking families to complete the Education Benefits Form (one form per family). A paper copy was sent home with your students. You can also fill the form out online here: https://shepherd.familyportal.cloud/
