The Eagles Nest

There are seven days of school left, and we are proud of all that our students have accomplished this year. A big thank you to our families and Eagles community for the support you have shown for our school.

This week, students in grades 4-5 will take the Reading EOG and select 3rd grade students will take the RTA on June 4. On June 6 students in 3-5 will take their Math EOG. In preparation, please make sure your student gets a good night's rest, eats breakfast, arrives to school on time and is ready to do his/her best. Cell phones, smart watches, and activity trackers are not permitted in the testing environment and should be left at home on testing days. All students will need to bring their fully charged laptops to school for these assessments. If your student misses any EOG, makeup sessions will also be held this week.

Students will begin turning in laptops, Ipads, mifis, and charging cables on Monday, June 10. Families will be charged the full replacement cost for items not returned by the last day of school. Over due/library fine notices have been sent home with students. Please help students find over due/missing books. If you have fines please pay them as soon as possible. Fines do roll over to the next school year and follow students to middle school.

3. Kindergarten Awards Ceremony, June 11 at 12:30pm in classrooms and Fifth-grade Awards Ceremony, June 11 at 11:30pm in the MPR. Each student will be receiving two tickets.

4. Tuesday, June 11 - report cards go home, last day of school

The Kindergarten Awards Day celebration will be on Tuesday, June 11 at 12:30pm in classrooms. Due to space in our classrooms, each student will be receiving two tickets for Awards Day. Tickets will be going home with students on Tuesday, June 4. We want this to be a special time for you and your child. Tickets will need to be presented at the door on June 11. Doors will open at 12:15pm. We ask that all parents enter the side door. If you have any questions, please reach out to your child's teacher. If parents would like to check their child out after the program, they can do so in the classroom with the teacher and pick up their child's report card. Parents will need to show proper ID. There will also be a photo booth for photo opportunities after the program.

The Fifth Grade Moving Up Ceremony will be on Tuesday, June 11 at 11:30am in the auditorium. Tickets will be going home with students on Tuesday, June 4. Due to space in our auditorium, each student will be receiving two tickets for Awards Day. We want this to be a special time for you and your child. Tickets will need to be presented at the door on June 11. Doors will open at 11:00am. We ask parents to use the side door for entry. After the program, families will get to enjoy cake and photo opportunities. If parents would like to check their child out after the program, they may do so with the teacher in the auditorium and pick up their child's report card. You will need to show proper ID. Teachers request students not bring any bookbags or other items from home on this day. They will only need a lunchbox if eating lunch at school. If you have any questions, please reach out to your child's teacher. Students can dress for success for this special occasion.
