Dear Plymouth Middle School Families,
I am honored to introduce myself as the new principal of Plymouth Middle School. My name is Tamiko Thomas, and I am thrilled to join this wonderful community, a community that I grew up in and a district that I am a graduate of. With great excitement and dedication, I look forward to partnering with you and supporting each student to achieve their personal best. Our goal and mission is to inspire and educate all learners to develop their unique potential and positively contribute to their community.
Welcome to the 2024/25 school year!
Plymouth Middle School is home to approximately 800 students and 100 or so amazing and talented teachers and staff. At Plymouth Middle we offer a comprehensive middle school curriculum and have a thriving Arts and Activities program that we hope your student will take advantage of. We are focused on building strong relationships student to student, teacher/staff to student, and staff to staff. Excellence is our standard!
We are excited to welcome our students and families to the new school year. I look forward to meeting you all very soon! Please take a moment to read through the information in this newsletter and reach out if you have any questions!

6th Grade and New Student Only
Date: Thursday, August 22, 2024
Time: 4:00pm-6:00pm
To support our students' transition into a new school, we are offering an early Chromebook pick-up and photo opportunity for all 6th Graders and students New to PMS.

Open House
Date: Thursday August 29, 2024
Time 4:00pm-7:00pm
All Students (Grades 6-8) are welcome to attend our Open House night to do the following things:
Meet your teachers
Take your school photo
Find your locker
Walk your schedule
Pick up your Chromebook
At 4:30 and 6:30pm, Principal Thomas will host a family meeting in the cafeteria

Tuesday September 3, 2024
- First day for 6th graders and 8th grade WEB leaders
- Busses will run normally
- School day is from 9:20-4:05pm

- All students attend school
