WMS Weekly Warrior
April 22, 2024
Good Afternoon Woodbury Middle School Community,
We hope everyone had an enjoyable week off from school. Returning from April break always signified the beginning of our end-of-the-year calendar. There are many events and activities that will have us moving very quickly to the end of the school year.
Our state testing period begins on April 30th and ends on May 14th. Students do not test every day; this is our testing window. Please do your best to get students to school on time during the testing window. As always, we encourage students to sleep enough and enjoy nutritious meals to maximize their testing performance. The Connecticut Smarter Balanced assessments (SBA) will be administered to all students, and the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) will be given to only 8th-grade students. A letter from the district will follow with more details regarding state assessments.
The end of the year also means exciting trips and events. The dates below will allow you to plan for the end of the year. Once again, separate letters regarding the details will be sent along with permission forms and any costs associated with the events. Please do your best to adhere to the deadlines listed, as this may impact a student's attendance or participation.
