Announcements & Updates
- School is closed on November 7 and 8 for the NJEA Convention. Monday, November 11 is an RA day 3.
- Marking period 1 report cards will be released to the Parent Portal on November 11 at 3:30 p.m. Students in grades 6-8 achieving a 92% or above across all courses (Related Arts included) will be awarded Principal's Honor Roll. Students in grades 6-8 who achieve a 90% or above in their core classes (Math, Language Arts, Social Studies, and Science) will earn Honor Roll. Fifth graders will be eligible for Honor Roll in the second semester.
- For parents needing to pick up their child early from an after-school activity, please inform both the club advisor and Mrs. McGarry via email as the Main office may not be staffed after 4:00 p.m. Note that for access to the building after school hours, please ring the "Night Bell."
- Try-outs for the winter sports season will be November 11-13. New to Mountain View sports? Please click here to review the Athletic Code of Conduct, pay-to-play fees, and more. Note that students will also attend an interest meeting with their respective coach where specific information regarding practices and other expectations will be shared.
- Crossing guards wanted! The Mendham Borough Police is in need of substitute crossing guards. If you (or someone you know) is interested, please contact Officer McNichol at:
Student Council's Thanksgiving Food Drive
The Student Council is organizing a food collection to support the Interfaith Food Pantry, assisting families in Morris County during the Thanksgiving season. Kindly check your child's home base listed below for specific items to donate. Donations will be accepted from November 18 to November 22, with the food being delivered the following week.
Alonso, Gryffindor, Clark, Beach
- boxes of white or brown rice, canned yams, 100% fruit juice (apple, grape, cranberry)
Murad, Hufflepuff, Dunphy, Byers
- cranberry sauce, gravy (not in glass jars), brownie or cake mix
Saillant, Ravenclaw, Leber, Magrini
- bag of dried beans, coffee, tea, or hot cocoa mix, hearty soups
Tucker, Slytherin, Vnenchak, Nugent
- canned vegetables, muffin or bread mix, instant mashed potatoes
