Weston took 2nd place in the Flathead County Spelling Bee and will represent the County in the State Competition. We appreciate how Weston is representing Helena Flats outside our school building.

Haily Parson did a terrific presentation at our latest school board meeting. She read a very interesting persuasive essay for the school board to consider.

Congrats to our February 2025 Classes of the Month, Mrs. Nickerson's 1st grade class have been making great strides in their academics and social skills. Mrs. Thompson's classes are doing some great things with hands on Science projects.

Cross Country practice begins the week of March 17-21st. Practices are Monday and Thursday from 3:45-4:45pm. The Cross Country meets are Tuesdays at locations to include Evergreen, West Valley, and Cayuse Prairie. The Cross Country Meets begin at 4:00pm with no bus transportation. Parents will transport students to the meets. Final Cross Country meets are the week of May 12-15th. Please review the following flyer for dates and locations. Please also complete the necessary athletic forms for students to participate in practice. You can print the athletic forms from the Helena Flats School website by clicking the path menu-school programs-athletics-athletic forms or asking for a copy at our main office. The required forms include a current physical, concussion statement, participant contract, and medical release form.

We are approaching our final testing of the school year to include the MAST (Montana Aligned to Standards Through Year), MSA (Montana Science Assessment), and Aimsweb (School Benchmark/Universal Screener). More information to follow.

We have a middle school dance 6-8th grade Friday April 4, 2025. We will also host and upcoming pep assembly date to be determined.
