Celebrations Abound!
- Annual Awards Ceremony: On Thursday, May 23, members of the classes of 2024 and 2025 gathered with their families in the PAC for the event that kicks of the "season" of milestone events. See pics here.
- Lower Hudson Council of School Superintendents (LHCOSS): On Tuesday, May 22, LHCOSS held a dinner honoring valedictorians and salutatorians from five counties! Rye Neck was represented by our own Lucie Paumier and Theo Kusbiantoro! A good time was had by all! See pics here.
Clubs and Classrooms
- Mock Trial Field Trip: Law Day 2024 was about the voices of democracy. Rye Neck students participated in a trial where they used the rule of law to argue an arson case from the 2024 Mock Trial Competition. Students listened to and heard from US District Attorneys, Magistrate Judges and FBI Special Agents in arguing their positions--and also learned how their positions fit into the practice and methodology of law. - Interested in the environment? Why not participate in the third annual World Environment Day conference on June 5th at 6:30 p.m. sponsored by the student leaders of Westchester Green County USA. The goal of this event is to focus on best practices across Westchester County! Flyer here!
- Math Honor Society: Deadline extended. Sophomores and Juniors who meet the criteria for math honor society and missed the Wednesday, May 15, please fill out the application that was posted on the class pages by the new firm deadline: Tuesday, May 28.
- Each Regents Exam will have 6-one hour review sessions as "extra" exam prep. These sessions run through June 13. Regents Review Calendar.
Athletic Success In Every Corner!
- Congratulations to the Varsity Baseball Team and Coaches Travis and Erosa for their semi-final victory on Wednesday! They will play for the Section 1 Class B Baseball Championship at 10 a.m. on Saturday at SUNY Purchase!
Congratulations to the Varsity Softball team and Coaches Spedafino, Calvini and Lillo for defeating Pawling in the semi-finals. They play the Class B Section Championship on Thursday!
- Congratulations to Doubles Partners, Andrew Soussa & Ryan Truta for battling hard all weekend and advancing to the Section 1 Doubles Championships Quarterfinals!!!
