Head Teacher's Message
As I am writing this I can hear the Year 11 Geography students leaving their GCSE exam. As with the Chemistry exam this morning, their positivity and energy when they exit the exam is extraordinary. They excitedly share and compare questions and how they answered them, they follow up with their teachers to talk about the questions. There is, obviously, a sense of relief that the exam is over; but their shared sense of excitement is infectious.
Elsewhere in school internal assessments started for Year 9 - and again, walking around school I have seen for myself the hard work that the students are putting in and their maturity during these assessments.
I hope that all students and families are able to have some downtime over this weekend and come back on Monday refreshed and ready for the final week of this half-term.
~Ms K Dooley | Head Teacher
Excellence through Endeavour
Keep on Swimming!
Jack has just completed 5 days of racing at the Swim England London Regional Championships where he succeeded in becoming a 4 time London Regional Champion, taking gold in the 200m, 400m and 800m Freestyle and the 400m Individual Medley. He also landed silver medals in the 100m and 200m Butterfly and the 4 x 200m Freestyle Team Relay. This has secured Jack's entry in to the Aquatics GB National competition taking place this summer at Ponds Forge in Sheffield.
There was also huge success for Teddington swimming club, who were ranked 3rd in London in the overall competition.
We continue to be in awe of Jack's achievements and dedication - congratulations!
Rounders Success!
Earlier this week the combined Year 7 and Year 8 rounders team headed off full of excitement - resulting in a win against Hampton High in a league match. Congratulations to the whole team: Freyja, Manon, Anna, Anoushka, Phoebe, Lyndsay, Bethany, Jess, Poppy S., Marlie, Anhelina.

Bike Donations Needed!
I am project manager for Recirculate, a project which takes second hand bikes, renovates them in prison workshops, and gives them to NHS staff and children in need. We have given away 313 bikes to date! We are now in need of more bikes, especially adult bikes, and we are holding a bike donation day at West Middlesex Hospital from 9.30am to 12pm on Monday 3rd June - World Bike Day.
We are asking potential bike donors to tell us if they are bringing a bike, just to give us an idea of how many bikes we are likely to get. The link to the form is here https://forms.gle/ykQZseixwFbeYYEr5 and the form can also be access by scanning the QR code on the flyer.
Anything you can do to support us would be greatly appreciated.
