NEW YEAR SAME GOALS

Well, 2023 is finally upon us and I'm not sure if you're one of many who asked, "already?" or the others that said, "finally!" Either way, we're here now and we have a semester ahead of us. I know with Winter Retreat, Christmas, and New Years now behind us, we need to begin looking forward with our mission and purpose in mind and ask ourselves, "Ok...what needs to be done this semester?"

And again, I'm going to remind us all that in this season of CBC, we're going to have to work together on all aspects in order to achieve our ultimate goal and mission (to make disciples who make disciples). Now that we have spent the Fall semester getting back on campus, getting to know our community, and building out our foundations, we transition into a time of deepening our faith and ACTING upon it. That's what this semester is going to concentrate on: as a church (one defined by the Gospel) we are going to put ACTION upon what we believe to be true...in our spheres of influence. More on that during Youth Praise.

So gear up ya'll because if God actually is going to answer our prayers, it should be a pretty intense semester with a lot of challenges and a lot of OMG moments. I look forward to another semester with you all...ya'll ready?

Hi Everyone, wanted to invite you as well as those you are connected with to our annual Youth Workers Symposium. The Chinese Churches in Houston, Texas (Houston Chinese Church, West Houston Chinese Church, Fort Bend Community Church, Katy Chrisitan Community Church, New Hope Community Church., and Chinese Baptist Church) have put on a one-day micro-conference for about 5 years now. This is intended to train and provide avenues of fellowship for those who work/serve with youth, Church leaders where youth consist of their congregation, and those who have a passion for this generation and ministry. Although it is only offered in English, we want to welcome all congregations to attend. Please follow the QR code or the link to register.
