In support of our mission, we want the students in our Region 14 communities to be future ready. To ensure that all of our learners are prepared for the opportunities and challenges of the 21st century, we have developed a common understanding of the skills and qualities that will help them to thrive in life.
Our History
Region 14 BOE/District Goals
- Academic Performance - The district will strive to improve academic performance for all students on multiple assessment indicators and the staff will be committed to continuous improvement.
- Communication - Region 14 will develop partnerships with all stakeholders in the school community to highlight the exemplary programs the district offers.
- Safety - Region 14 will provide safe and secure facilities equipped with technology, enabling a 21st century learning environment that supports the values of the district.
- Budget - Region 14 will prepare a budget that meets the needs of every student and communicates the needs and priorities of Region 14 in a clear and concise manner.

Greetings BES families!
We hope you have enjoyed your weekend! Our annual BES Halloween Parade will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. Please follow Officer Mark's direction for parking and line the circle around the flagpole.
School picture make-ups are Nov. 26th if you missed them. Thanks to our PTO for helping with picture day last week!
Our PreK-4 took a wonderful field trip to Flanders last week, our first of the year. Students rode a tractor, learned about animals, and decorated pumkins! Picture above left.
Socktober and More! Third graders are collecting socks for people in need from now through Thanksgiving. Any donations are appreciated!
As October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we want to thank all who participated; we collected $283, which will go to Seymour Pink in Ansonia to help breast cancer survivors. Pictured below is the BES staff in pink.
Ice cream and snack days are back! See attached schedule. Price is $1.
Mr. Jackson has new Park and Rec offerings starting this week: Bulldog Bikers, Dodgeball, Lego Club, and Gym Games. Form below.
