Breeze Hill's Coyote Caller
September 27, 2024
Our Fifth Grade Band Makes Beautiful Music!
Welcome from Mr. Reese
Dear Coyote Community,
I am thrilled to join the BEST SCHOOL IN THE UNIVERSE as your new Principal for the 2024-25 school year at Breeze Hill Elementary! I can’t wait to meet all of our incredible students, dedicated staff, and supportive families as we work together to strengthen our coyote pack.
At Breeze Hill, our mission is to educate, inspire, and empower all students to thrive in an ever-changing global society. To achieve this, we’ll embrace a whole-child approach, focusing on each student’s overall development and learning.
Our teachers will respond to students’ interests, abilities, and understanding through Universal Design for Learning, differentiated instruction, and flexible grouping. Students will have opportunities to engage in lessons and activities where they can express their choices and voices, building on Breeze Hill’s history of academic success and excellence.
We’re also committed to fostering healthy, well-rounded individuals. To support this, we’ll offer social-emotional lessons with our counselor, a weekly running club, and Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) aligned with our five pillars: welcome, do no harm, choice words, never too late to learn, and the best school in the universe. Additionally, we provide extended learning opportunities such as Math Club, Scrabble Club, Drama and Theatre, Music, and more.
We can’t do this alone! Your support is crucial. Please ensure your child attends school daily, as regular attendance leads to greater success. We encourage you to join our PTA, participate in committees like the School Site Council (SSC) or the English Language Advisory Committee (ELAC), or find other ways to volunteer and engage in our Breeze Hill community. Together, we are a united pack!
Feel free to reach out to me with any questions, comments, or concerns.
Sincerely,
David Reese

PILLARS OF ACHIEVEMENT
As we approach the start of the 2024-25 school year, we request your continued collaboration in reinforcing our expectations around our Pillars and positive behaviors on campus. Our goal is to create a safe space where all students can flourish, learn, and develop. By working together, we can ensure a positive and nurturing environment for everyone.
Here is a reminder of our Pillars for positive behavior:
1. Be Welcoming - say hello and greet others on campus; be accepting of others; share materials; and be a good listener.
2. Do No Harm - put your materials away; take care of your materials; throw trash away; keep hands and feet to yourself..
3. Use Choice Words - wait your turn to speak; use quiet/inside voices; respond kindly; and use polite language when speaking to adults.
4. Never Too Late to Learn - follow directions the first time; help others; use your best effort; and be prepared to Learn.
These 4 Pillars , when followed purposefully, lead us to the last pillar which makes us THE BEST SCHOOL IN THE UNIVERSE!
As partners, we work together in empowering our students to make positive choices and start the school year on a high note. We wish all of our students, staff, and families a successful start to the 2024-2025 school year.
