CSD Athletics: Bulldog News
August 25th, 2023

Bulldog Families,
We are proud of our Fall athletes and coaches who have gotten the year off to a great start! The beginning of the year is a busy time as we all adjust back to our routines. We are thankful to have the opportunity to see our students training and competing as a team, bringing parents and community members together in support of the Bulldogs!
Special Thank You: On Monday evening, Coach Amy Bryant shared valuable information with our student-athletes and their families related to the college recruitment process. We are happy that many of our students were in attendance to learn more about the pathways to collegiate athletics and grateful to have Coach Bryant in our community as a resource!
If you have any questions or need guidance, please do not hesitate to reach out to us. Go Bulldogs!!

Both teams have been victorious in the majority of their matches as each team continues to improve and players on both rosters push each other to improve every day! It has been fun to have so many of our families and supporters in the stands at DHS and look forward to the excitement the season will surely bring!

Getting to Know Our Bulldog Leaders
We are blessed to have so many dedicated adults working with our young student-athletes. You see them on the field, you met them at the pre-season meeting, you receive the weekly updates, but how well do you KNOW our coaches. Check here each week to learn more about our Bulldog coaches!
The Effects of Positive Thinking!!
In the link below, Dr. Jarrod Spencer, Sports Psychologist, explains that the difference between the top five tennis teams in the world and the top twenty five tennis teams is the amount of positive thinking.
What are YOUR Youth Sports Goals?
This year, the Bulldogs are partnering again with the Positive Coaching Alliance to enhance the experience of our students, coaches, and Bulldog families. The PCA has a vast number of resources that can help us make the most of our experience.
This resource is an activity we shared last year that aims at helping students and their families determine what their goals are as student-athletes. This exercise can spark some important conversations about how families decide to navigate this experience. Making sure everyone is on the same page about what desired outcomes can help to create a positive experience!
