A Word From Principal Rosenberg
Hello Parents/Guardians:
I hope this note finds you healthy and happy. The year has really sped up since Fall Break. I can’t believe we are in November! At the beginning of the month the Arizona Department of Education informed the district that Banks Elementary is an “A” rated school. I am proud of our teachers and staff for their dedication and hard work. Most importantly, we are proud of your children who did a tremendous job learning everything that the teachers presented to them.
In addition, We were informed by First Things First that our Preschool went from a three-star to a four-star Quality First school. Congratulations to Ms. Vallejo, Mrs. Hesson, Mrs. Moreno, and Ms. Peña for this incredible accomplishment. Please see below for all the things that are packed into this month.

Counselor's Corner

Hello Banks Families!
October was Bullying Awareness Month. During this month, all students participated in a bullying unit. They learned what bullying is and what do to if they think they are being bullied. They also participated in bullying prevention activities by practicing restorative circles, responding to feelings, and using coping strategies to calm anger and frustration.
During the month of November, we will focus on empathy skills. Students will learn perspective-taking and practice communicating their needs and understanding the needs of others. We will also practice having an “Attitude of Gratitude”. Bobcats will learn the value of being present and focus on things they are grateful for in their daily lives.
To refer a student, see me in person, call 520-908-5700 or email me.
