Wasco Weekly
THE STRENGTH OF THE WOLF IS ITS PACK
October 4, 2023
Wasco Families,
Last week I had the opportunity to host a Parent Townhall meeting. During the meeting I shared information about how the D303 Strategic Plan connected to our work at Wasco. The Strategic Plan outlines the values and commitments of the district aligning our instruction and practices as a unit district, serving students PreK-12. During the meeting I provided specific information about our behavior management system. As principal of Wasco, I strive to make sure our learning community (adults and students) embody our building expectations of Be Safe, Be Kind, Work Hard, and Do the Right Thing. Therefore, it is important for all of us to understand the foundational documents that outline behavior expectations and how the adults in the school respond to, and teach our expectations.
I am sharing the slides presented last week so you also have an opportunity to review them at your convenience. If you have any questions, or would like to share information about your experiences, please contact me. I am here to listen and ensure high-quality learning experiences for all of our Wasco Wolves.
Kind Regards,
Principal Brennan

Wasco Bucks Update
Here is another image of how our Wasco Wolves are choosing to use their earned Wasco Bucks! Brook, from 5th grade, worked toward earning enough Wasco Bucks to read to a younger classroom. The students in Mrs. Meyer’s kindergarten class were the lucky recipients of this reward! Stay tuned for additional ways that students across the building are choosing to use their Wasco Bucks! Have you asked your child what they are saving for? Remember to continue having conversations with your child about how they can demonstrate behaviors in the following ways: Being Safe. Being Kind. Working Hard. Doing the Right Thing.

Community News / Resources
The Parent Education Series is D303's way of empowering parents and guardians to support their children's academic, social, and emotional needs through a series of information sessions. Become informed on specialized topics, engage in two-way dialogue with speakers and fellow parents, and become a support resource for others. The sessions offered are based on feedback from our parents and may feature teachers and staff, community partners, or guests from afar who specialize in topics relevant to our District.
