PRINCIPAL'S WEEKLY MESSAGE
Happy Summer Ridgeview Families!
HERE ARE YOUR FINAL UPDATES:
As a reminder, all students who have library books still out, they are now past due! All 8th grade students' chromebooks/chargers are now past due as well. Library books and chromebooks may still be dropped off at the main office to be turned in. We thank you in advance.
Ohio State Test (OST) preliminary scores are in. We will sort through the data and use it to help drive instruction for next school year, as well as determine strengths and weaknesses of students in order to get the best production out of them from the start. Remember the goal of testing is for students to grow in their learning, and for teachers to reflect on their practices. We’re optimistic of our scores and will share the results with families as soon as they are official.
Our Culture Day was a huge success! Thank you to our PoPPS volunteers who came out to assist, as well as district personnel. A huge shout out goes to Mrs. Hoffman and Mrs. Owen for a job well done with the planning/organization of this event. We look forward to doing it again next year.
We are looking for PoPPS volunteers as well as PTO members for next school year. If you’re interested or would like more information about the PoPPS program, please reach out to our Dean of Students, Mrs. Dillard by email: sydney_dillard@plsd.us. If you’re interested in our PTO, please contact Kelly Martin by email: kelly.martin_rvjhpto@hotmail.com.
Starting on Thur May 30th, our main office hours will be from 8:00-2:30 pm. Holidays we will be closed for business. More info about our summer hours is below. Please make a note of it.
We hope everyone has a great and safe summer break! It has been a pleasure serving the Ridgeview community this year and I’m looking forward to what’s to come. This will be our last newsletter until late summer. Take care and enjoy the summer break!

HELP Make Our Schools Safer
The Ohio Department of Education and the Ohio Department of Public Safety have launched the SaferOH tip line that will accept both calls and texts 24 hours a day.
This tip line allows students and adults to anonymously share information with school officials and law enforcement about threats to student safety—whether that involves a threatened mass incident or harm to a single student.
Every tip can remain anonymous. School safety analysts may ask for additional information, but the caller can remain secret or leave his or her contact information for later follow-up.
Calls or texts to 844-SaferOH (844-723-3764) are answered by analysts in the Ohio Homeland Security’s Threat Assessment and Prevention (TAP) Unit. When action is needed, the TAP Unit immediately forwards information to Pickerington Schools, local law enforcement agencies, and others, if necessary.
