Abe Lincoln School Newsletter - March 3, 2025
A Note From Mrs. Shaw...
Dear Abraham Lincoln Families,
I hope all families enjoyed the February break. It was awesome to see all the students' smiling faces back at the Abraham Lincoln School this week.
On Friday, February 14, we held a school-wide PBIS celebration. Collectively, Abe Lincoln students earned more than 5,000 RAM awards so far this year. Our PTO generously donated all the fixings for ice cream sundaes and we had some very special guests to celebrate with. Several athletes from the University of Maine Swimming and Diving Team joined students in this celebration. Students are already excited and asking about our next school-wide celebration.
Winter weather persists here in Maine. Our Mitten Tree is currently empty and we would graciously accept mitten donations for our tree to carry us through the last few weeks of cold temperatures. Thank you in advance for keeping our students' little hands warm!
We hope all families can join us for our annual Academic Showcase next Thursday, 3/6 4:30-5:30p. The lobby doors will open at 4:30p and students are expected to remain under the care and supervision of their parent/caregiver during the entirety of the showcase event. This is an opportunity to see all of the meaningful learning your child has been engaging in over the past few months, and has been a favorite event for families!
Best,
Shannon Shaw, Principal
