We Can Explain...

It's been a long time, but we can explain. Sometimes we get so busy doing what we do that we forget to write! So, this newsletter will be a quick glimpse into the last few months. From here on out, we'll do a better job of keeping in touch. As always, thank you so much for your friendship and support. You make this ministry possible!

(ABOVE) This is what church looked like for us at the Equine Affaire in Columbus, Ohio. These folks came to learn from premiere equine clinicians and to shop the hundreds of vendors. Some intentionally attended cowboy church, and some were just trying to get out of the rain. But they were there, and we had a chance to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ to them. This is our way of bringing church to folks who perhaps wouldn’t have attended otherwise. Thank you for having open minds and open hearts for this branch of Circle G Ministry.

(ABOVE) Welcome to Cowboy Church in the Amish Country! Now that's something you might not have expected to read! It was an absolute privilege to hold Cowboy Church right in the heart of Ohio’s Amish Country during a Ken McNabb Horsemanship clinic. It’s pretty neat to preach at an event that has separate horse and buggy parking! Thank you so much to the Wengers of C and C Horsemanship for working so hard to put it all together. We are blown away by their commitment to reaching their community with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

(ABOVE) The Showstoppers 4-H club in Okeechobee, FL means business! Horse(wo)manship is hard work but also a ton of fun, as these gals proved. We were so proud of them and so grateful for the opportunity to instruct them for a week.

(ABOVE) Shoes. We probably take them for granted. They’re just another little thing. No problem. But for kids in Guatemala, this little thing in our lives can be a really, really big thing in theirs. The Guatemalan government has made a rule that kids must have shoes to attend public school. So, what happens if you’re a 10 year-old-boy with no shoes? You drop out of school and work in the coffee fields barefoot. It’s absolutely unbelievable how one little (big) thing can change the trajectory of a person’s life forever. That’s why we were so honored to spend part of July in San Juan La Laguna with our Wikel Community Baptist Church family. In addition to giving away hundreds of pairs of shoes, our group got to feed hungry kiddos, minister to homeless abuelitos, provide free medical clinics, and share the Gospel in schools and homes. This is a little different from our usual ministry, but we absolutely believe in supporting and participating in missions through our own church as well.

(ABOVE) Fifteen? Seriously? We're not sure how it happened. We blinked and all of the sudden, fifteen years flew by in a flash. We were so, so, so grateful for the opportunity to celebrate another wedding anniversary. Also, since our last email, BJ turned 40 and I turned 35! Our prayer is that we don’t take a single day together for granted!

(ABOVE) Young people can experience revival, too! It’s been pretty amazing to see the work God is doing in the lives of kids and teens. We had an absolute blast holding a youth revival for the teens at Meadow Bridge Missionary Baptist Church (Meadow Bridge, WV). These young men and women were faithful to the services and activities every single night. Special thanks to Brent and BJ Crookshanks for the love, time, and prayers they pour into the Impact Group. Youth workers are our heroes! Thanks to their preparation and the Spirit’s leading, a number of precious teens either gave their lives to Jesus Christ or made other significant spiritual decisions.

(ABOVE) It was a pleasure to be at the Lone Hickory Arena in Yadkinville, NC, for a Ken McNabb Horsemanship Clinic and Cowboy Church. This gentleman was one of two men who gave their lives to Jesus Christ at the Tuesday night Cowboy Church service

(ABOVE) The folks at Neola Baptist Church (Neola, WV) are outstanding. We appreciate Pastor Ralph Hubbard inviting us to preach their fall revival. It’s not about numbers, because each individual person and each individual decision are so important, but we do want to celebrate the nine people who gave their hearts to Jesus that week.

(ABOVE) Oops….I totally forgot to take a picture of BJ preaching, but I did manage to snap a selfie with my father-in-law, Bub Grimmett. This was taken during a revival at Calloway Heights Baptist Church in Beckley, WV. Please let your pastor or church leaders know that BJ is currently scheduling services/events for Spring 2019.
