Principal Gober's Greetings
Happy May Knik Families and Learning Community!
It is hard to believe that we have officially entered the last month of another fantastic school year.
As I look out my window and soak up the beautiful sunshine, I think about the growth that we have made this school year and how blessed I am to be a part of our Knik Learning Community! Approaching the end of the school year and entering summer, I am looking forward to green grass and time outside basking in the sun with all our animals; Kuma and Cowboy (dogs), Eddie and Wilbur (pigs), Sunny and Sammy (goats), Billy Bob and Rambo (turkeys), and all our funny chickens!
We hope that you can join us for our Knik Elementary end of the year celebration assemblies and events as we bring closure to another great school year! During these last couple weeks of school, we welcome our incoming 3rd graders and celebrate our outgoing 5th graders. We also hold our end of the year assemblies to celebrate and honor students’ growth and success at each grade level, ending our last day of school with our traditional Knik Field Day and bubble send off at dismissal. Thank you for considering being a parent volunteer to support our field day at Knik, we could not make this student favorite event happen without you!
Thank you for your support and partnership this school year, it has been an honor to serve you and your students. I truly love our Knik Learning Family and look forward to next school year and new opportunities to deepen partnerships, continually growing and striving to be and do better together.
In partnership and support 🙂

Nurse Notes
It’s the end of the year, already! This year flew by, and I’ve had a great time settling in here and getting to know all your kids! They’ve been so welcoming and fun to be around!
As I wrap up things in the nursing office for the summer, I’ll be sending home an informational letter that may help you get set up for next year. It has basic information in it, and if your child took medication at school, had an emergency allergy/asthma/seizure plan, or utilized an exemption for vaccines it will include blank forms for your convenience to fill out for next year. These will be coming home with your child over the next few weeks leading up to the end of the school year.
If your child had medication on file, please pick it up the last week of school, preferably the last day your student attends—medications cannot be sent with the student and must be picked up by an adult.
Please reach out if there’s anything I can help you with. I will be available intermittently by email through the summer and am always happy to help. Good luck to all our fifth-grade students and their families as they transition to middle school, and I look forward to seeing everybody else again come fall!

Librarian's Corner
Woohoo, we are almost there! This year has gone by fast! We have learned how to read better, type better, be more kind, and so much more. It is now time to bring things to a close including getting all library books back by May 15. I’ll be sending slips out again on May 13 so you can look for those missing books. Charges will be moved to School Pay by the end of next week. If you know that a book is lost, you can either pay for the book or replace it with the same book including hard back for a hard back/soft back for a soft back. I can accept used books if they are in mint condition. Otherwise, you can send $ or a check before I put the charges into School Pay. If you have extenuating circumstances, give me a call and we can work something out. Thanks for your library support this year, it has been a pleasure to serve and teach your family members. Also, regarding laptops, we will be doing a final year check for damages and lost devices. If your child has a missing device, give me a call and we can try to help locate it here at school. Missing laptops will be disabled and your account at School Pay will be charged. Please call me if you have any questions or if I can help…. Have a great Summer! 😊
