Good evening, Evergreen families!

Thank you for your flexibility this week as we have had to work our way through snow and ice schedules! Our students have done a great job adjusting to the late start schedules as they were needed to accommodate our wonderful Northwest weather. I want to say how impressed I was, as a principal, with our teachers as they adjusted schedules with a student-centered focus to keep structures and routines clear and focus on continued learning!

Monday, February 10, is our next PTSO meeting in our library at 5:15 pm. This is rescheduled from February 3rd due to the weather. We hope to see you there!

This week we have an early release on Wednesday. Students will be released from school at 2 pm so please mark your calendars.

Our Acceleration Team will meet this week on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 3:30-5 pm. On Friday we will have our Acceleration Team Celebration! We have completed our second session! All parents of students on the Acceleration Team are invited to join us in the library at 4:30 pm on Friday, February 14th to celebrate their student’s commitment and growth in reading!

After School basketball for 3rd and 4th grade students is on Tuesdays for 3rd grade students and Thursdays for 4th grade students. It will continue through March 4th. Students must be registered to attend.

We have Marimba after school on Tuesdays! Students must have a permission slip signed to attend.

Our goals are improving reading skills and attendance! Two ways you can help are reading time at home daily and prioritizing school attendance.
