A Message from Mrs. Cook
We are approaching these last few weeks of our school year. Our teachers and staff are focused on ensuring that every student finishes the year with a sense of accomplishment and confidence. We will be reinforcing key lessons, engaging in fun and educational activities, and celebrating all that we've achieved together.
There are a few important dates and events coming up, so please stay tuned for updates. Your continued support and involvement in your child’s education are vital, and we encourage you to stay connected during this final stretch. Let’s work together to make these last weeks as memorable and rewarding as possible for our students. Thank you for being such an important part of our school community!
- Mrs. Cook
Important Reminders
Important Transportation Notices
Car Safety Concern: We want to remind all parents and guardians to be extra vigilant during the 2:30 P.M. pickup time for Head Start Preschool students. This is before our regular dismissal at 3:00 P.M. The safety of our children is our top priority, and we kindly ask that you take a moment to be aware of the surroundings as you arrive for pickup. Please drive slowly and cautiously as you pull up to wait for students that will be dismissed at 3:00 P.M. Please do not drive past any families that are picking up students from Head Start, as this is a serious safety concern.
Important Notice for Car Riders:
CAR RIDERS - Please adhere to the STOP SIGN at the end of the road when you're picking up or dropping off your child(ren). We've had several close calls and the stop sign is only one way.
Transportation Changes Notice:
Please make sure to contact the school office at 765-629-2323 if you have a transportation change that needs to be made. Classroom teachers may not be able to check emails until the end of the day and therefore may miss the message. Changes need to be made by 2:00 p.m.
According to the Milroy Elementary Handbook: "All students will be sent home according to the instructions parents provide at registration unless there is written notice or phone communication from the parent or guardian. If unexpected changes in transportation occur, please contact Milroy Elementary School Office prior to 2:00 p.m."
Note from Mr. Jameson:
There will be no "guest bus passes" for any students on Rush County School buses. Students will not be allowed to take friends home with them on the bus for a party or sleepover.
