HOLIDAY SHOP VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
HOLIDAY SHOP THIS WEEK
We are excited to announce that our Holiday Elf Shop will take place this week! This is a wonderful opportunity for students to pick out gifts for family members, and we want to ensure everything goes smoothly.
A quick reminder:
- Filled-out envelopes with cash are to be brought in on your childs shopping day (see list below). Please make sure the envelope is securely sealed with the appropriate amount of cash for your child’s purchases.
- If you are using the online Elf Wallet, please remember that it is “use it or lose it.” Any unused funds will not be carried over after the event, so please be prepared for your child to spend the full balance during the Elf Shop.
- We are still in need of volunteers. You must have a cleared CRC for this school year to participate. Please sign up HERE!
Thank you for supporting this fun and festive event. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out.
Happy Holidays!

This Week: Creativity
Next week's character strength is "Creativity." Within this strength our goal is to see many things in new ways, find new ways to do things, and come up with new and original ways while using your imagination.

Thursday nights beginning January 9th.
Alpine Valley offers a wonderful program for students at discounted rates. It includes lessons, lift tickets and rentals. We've had great participation in the past and our Spring Mills and Highland families have really enjoyed it. I'm including some key details below:
2025 Club Cards are available for purchase ($30 each) now through January 17th and will be distributed on our first club night: Thursday, 1/9/25. The student program offers discounted lift tickets and rentals to student members ages 7 years old through 12th grade. Our club will run on Thursday nights at Alpine Valley Ski Area starting on January 9th and ending on February 27th. We must have at least 20 students signed up each week to be considered a club, so please spread the word! Please join the Spring Mills Friends & Family Ski Club Facebook page for more information and to sign up!
Club Card perks include:
CLUB NIGHT (students get discounted tickets/rentals)- Student club member prices ON THURSDAYS are $30 for lift tickets, $30 ski/board rentals (optional) and $10 helmet (optional).
LESSONS - Student club members get 2 free ski or snowboard lessons ON THEIR CLUB NIGHT (THURSDAYS). Alpine ski clubs operate under a Patch Program where students advance through seven levels of skiing/snowboarding.
Non-Club Night Lift Ticket Discounts - On Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays, students can purchase discounted lift tickets at Alpine Valley, Pine Knob or Mount Holly's ticket window for $30. New this year: Alpine is offering holiday discounts to student club members. Students who show their student club membership card at the ticket window at time of purchase will receive a $10 discount off their lift ticket. Valid-12/23/2024-12/27/24; 12/30/24-1/3/25; 1/20/25; 2/17/25.
PARENTS - On Thursdays, parent club card members pay the discounted $30 lift ticket rates at the ticket window. Parents are able to purchase a discounted lift ticket for 6 year old siblings as well (5 yo and under ski free with purchase of full price adult lift ticket). The card also comes with ten $5 off punches, which the cardholder can use on non-club nights at the ticket window. Parent Club Cards are NOT valid during weekends, Holidays and Blackout dates.

LHS SHOE DRIVE
Lakeland High School, Class of 2025 is doing a fundraiser to help pay for their
Senior Prom. It’s a shoe drive fundraiser. Through their partnership with the nonprofit,
Funds2Orgs, they are hoping to collect more than 5,000 pounds of gently worn, used and new
shoes to support micro enterprise vendors in developing nations. During this special season of
giving, their goal is to give back, while raising money for their prom. There is a box for gently worn shoes to be donated for anyone interested in the front entrance.
