This is just a reminder that registration for spring DMACC classes must be completed by Tuesday, November 26th. All registrations need to be submitted by 3:30 on that day. Any 9th or 10th grade student needs to meet with a school counselor to register for a DMACC class. Parents/Guardians do need to complete a permission form from the school counselor for 9th and 10th grade students to enroll.

All juniors and seniors have the link to submit their DMACC registration. If they can't find the email, they can email their school counselor to have the registration information resent to them.

BFHS School Counseling Department

The BFHS Gender and Sexuality Alliance is a safe space for all members of the LGBTQ+ community to discuss mental health and LGBT issues. We meet weekly in Ms. Purg's room, doing activities like bracelet making, movie watch parties, etc.(often with snacks)! Show up whenever you can, everyone is welcome!

"DMACC and area businesses are collaborating to provide a series of Career Exploration Events. Juniors and Seniors are invited to sign up for events that are of interest to you. Transportation and Lunch will be provided. Check out the Google Form to look over what is offered this semester and sign up to attend one!"

All students wishing to park vehicles at the school during the school day/year are required to register their vehicle and will receive a FREE parking permit. Parking passes may be picked up after registering from Kristy Lorber in the counseling office. Only register when you will be driving to school. CLICK HERE to register your vehicle only if you did NOT fill out all of your vehicle information when you registered your vehicle when you registered for school.

2024/2025 Youth and Teen Clubs:

Pokémon Club (ages 5+): Meets the first Wednesday of the month from 4:15-5:00pm. Activity or craft and snacks offered at each meeting. Come to create, talk, trade, and play Pokémon.

Curious & Creative Kids Club (ages 8+): Meets the second Wednesday of the month from 4:15-5:00pm. Hang with friends, create and with a planned activity each month!

Teen Cafe (ages 12+): Meets the fourth Monday of every month from 4:30-6:00pm. Each month will have a planned activity (simple cooking class, adulting, mental health awareness, etc.) or it will be open discussion for what needs the teens have, volunteering at the Library to prepare for upcoming events.

**NEW CLUB ALERT - Starting November 2024​​**

The Secret Anime Society (grades 6-12): Meets the third Thursday of every month from 4-5:00pm. Each month will have a fun activity, watch anime on Crunchy Roll, discuss our favorite Manga/Anime and share snacks.

Book Clubs: There will be multiple copies of each selected book available to check out for participants to finish at home.

Bound Together Book Club (Grades 3-5)

Meets @ 6pm the 1st Tuesday of each month. Miss Megan reads from a book, then we will make a craft or snack. We will watch the movie adaptation version the next month! Snacks provided.

In-the-Middle Book Club (Grades 6-8)

Meets @ 6pm the 3rd Tuesday of each month. We will start the selected book, making a craft or snack and then watch the movie adaptation version the next month! Snacks provided.

Inspired Minds Book Club (Grades 9-12) and Teens ONLY Sunday Funday (combined)

Meets @ 3pm the 2nd Sunday of the month during our Teens ONLY Sunday Funday events. Every other meeting, we will watch a movie based on or inspired by a book.

Our athletics booster club has launched a new online apparel store that we'd like to make you aware of. This is a 24/7 store with no "closing date" and we're told items typically ship in a week or so. Purchasing bluejay gear through the boosters directly supports Bondurant-Farrar students and programs, which we greatly appreciate!

The NFHS has partnered with Crisis Text Line to encourage mental health support for teens across the country. Crisis Text Line provides free, 24/7, high-quality text-based mental health support and crisis intervention in English and Spanish by empowering a community of trained volunteers to support people in their moments of need. Crisis Text Line promotes mental well-being for individuals, wherever they are. Individuals are encouraged to text the keyword “SHIELD” to 741741 if they are experiencing a mental health crisis – anything from suicidal thoughts or abusive relationships to difficult conversations with parents or anxiety about school workload.
