The Lion's Roar
September 6th, 2024
Welcome Back! The 2024-2025 School Year is Going to Be "Out of this World"!
Welcome Ms. Dietz!
It is with great excitement that I introduce Ms. Kristin Dietz as the Assistant Principal of Sheffield Elementary School! We hope that you will join us for our first "Coffee and Conversations" with the Principals on Thursday, September 12 at 8:00 am in the cafeteria.
Thank you FOS, students, and families for the Wonderful Welcome!
PRIDE calls - Student Recognition
Today, 7 Sheffield students and their families received a PRIDE call recognizing them for demonstrating the pillars of Sheffield PRIDE during the first 6 days of the new school year.
PRIDE calls are given to students who go above and beyond in demonstrating the Sheffield pillars of PRIDE.
- Perseverance- students who demonstrate a willingness to keep trying and learning even when the task is frustrating or challenging.
- Respect- students whose words and actions demonstrate kindness, understanding of school and classroom expectations, and acceptance of others beliefs, thoughts and opinions
- Integrity- students who demonstrate doing the right thing even when no one is looking and are accountable for their words and actions.
- Discipline- students who demonstrate self-control, time management, self-awareness, and focus.
- Empathy- students who demonstrate perspective taking and understanding of others feelings
Assistant Principal Dietz surprised these 7 students in their classrooms to recognize and reward them with a Sheffield Lion key chain and take their picture to hang on the bulletin board. The students' family then received a phone call from the principals informing them of their learner's outstanding achievement! Congratulations to all of you!
