A Message from the Superintendent
Dear Clarkstown Central School District Families and Staff,
Now that the 2023-24 academic year has come to a close, I want to express my sincere thanks for the continued privilege of being your superintendent of schools. I am incredibly proud to work with such dedicated and caring staff. Furthermore, I am equally honored to serve the passionate families who make up our community, and support and inspire all children.
We reflected each week on the successes of our learners, who engaged with new ideas and future-ready programming, as well as the innovation of our educators, who provided unique and hands-on educational experiences for our students. We visited buildings throughout the District to highlight academic accomplishments, athletic triumphs and community involvement — all of which contribute to our legacy of excellence. Lastly, we made significant progress planning for a capital improvements project — with a focus on cooling and ventilation as well as addressing flooring, window and casement replacements. More information will be forthcoming but, in the meantime, I encourage you to view the Overview of Projected Capital Project presentation here.
While this serves as the last weekly update until the fall, I look forward to resuming our collective celebrating of CCSD when we return on September 3. I wish all of you a very happy, safe and enjoyable summer break! I hope you find the much-deserved time to rest and recharge for what is sure to be another memorable and joyous journey in 2024-25.
Sincerely,
Marc P. Baiocco, Ed.D.

Throughout the District, elementary schoolers soaked up the first signs of summer during field days! Rotating through stations, each class worked together to complete a variety of team-building activities and friendly competitions of sack, relay and other races. Words of encouragement could be heard – and the effects seen – as students successfully rose to each challenge. Well done!
Over the last few weeks, students in grades 5, 8 and 12 crossed the stage and turned the tassel during year-end ceremonies. CCSD is incredibly proud of the hard work each of our learners – with the support of their teachers, friends and families – put into achieving these educational milestones. To those who moved up, we cannot wait to welcome you back in September. To the classes of 2024, we wish you all the best in the future!
